it looks like a good bit of the system and or packages you may want will get removed as well as all the useless extra kernels ,,,probably because of the stopped/broken upgrade , how much space have you goten back at this point ,,,,,do the "df -h" again and lets see.

I haven't completed the Konsole process yet because I was told if it contains "-98", do not proceed. It does say if I do proceed, it will free up 11.2GB.

I can't do the [df -h] because I'm at yes or no to proceed or should I select no, do the [df -h] and redo the removal process?

I wasn't doing an upgrade. I was doing an update. I would still like to delete the old "stuff" if it isn't much trouble on yall.

The easiest way to attempt to fix this would be to see my earlier post in this thread. Others here can attest to UCareSystem also: https://www.kubuntuforums.net/showth...l=1#post406399

LOL that command dose not take you out of 14.04 ,,,,,,,it just looks that way ,,,but if it makes you feal better replace "dist-upgrade" with "upgrade"

dist-upgrade just means the system is allowed to remove version 3.2.4 of a package to replace it with version 3.2.5 ,,,for instance ,,,,,"upgrade" will just allow for version 3.2.4 to get updated .

dist-upgrade just means the system is allowed to remove version 3.2.4 of a package to replace it with version 3.2.5 ,,,for instance ,,,,,"upgrade" will just allow for version 3.2.4 to get updated .

That process has now finished. Do I need to post the results?

I swear by it and it's perfect for situations like these. BTW, by default, the script will keep the current and (I think two) previous ones, in addition to removing downloaded debs and un-needed temp and config files.
I do not think I would do that right now as the system thinks a lot of needed stuff is orphaned or obsolete and would remove it all ,,,,,look at his "autoremove" output
