    Cannot log in

Hi, I just installed Kubuntu14.04 and after reboot I get the log-in screen although during installtion I chose Auto log-in.
After typing my password and pressing Enter the screen gets black for a second after which the log-in screen appears again.
I can log in as guest but not as the user I created during installation.
It is a clean install on 2 disks:
SDA has SDA1 with / and SDA2 with /Music, SDB has SDB/1 which contains my home folder.
I don't have SWAP since I have 16GB ram available.

Can it be caused by UEFI since I have been fooling around with it. When I now open my BIOS I get a completely different screen than normal. It looks like UEFI is not used since it says Other OS and not Windows UEFI mode where it asks for OS Type in the Boot section.

Who can help me with this or do I need to re-install and hope for the best?

Forget this thread since I managed to get it. I re-installed the OS after fooling around with the BIOS again to make absolutely sure UEFI is disabled. Now I can log-in.
