Did and update today that contained a new kernel and some updates for xorg including the core and the intel driver therein. I haven't touched the laptop since my last post becausei've been busy with other things. So i installed the update and rebooted and this is what i got from yukake when i opened it
So i ran xrandr and got this. note this is completely different to the output i was getting

What the hell changed?! and where do i go from here? i have a feeling i'm starting from square one.
