    AMD driver not loaded

    Greetings,

I just upgraded to 14.04 from my 12.04 install and the upgrade was glitch free! My compliments to the team.

Prior to the upgrade, my AMD video was not recognized by 12.04 and the proprietary driver that was once installed was not there anymore.

I thought that the upgrade would take care of this but it did not so is there a way to install a proprietary driver for my Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] RV710/M92 [Mobility Radeon HD 4530/4570/545v] [1002:9553]

    Thanks,

    Michel

your hardware is not supported by fglrx anymore, unless you use really old kernels/xorg (as in older than 12.04). This is why it does not show up in the driver tool.

Thanks Claydoh. It's good to know. At least I won't lose time and effort trying to figure out a solution.
