    xserver-xorg-input-synaptics

    Hi,

    there seems to be a problem with xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and Emulate3Buttons.

    eg:
    synclient Emulate3Buttons=1
    Unknown parameter Emulate3Buttons

    Also tried to put it at xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf but as property is missing from driver does not work also.

    regards.

    There was some clean-up work a while back in the driver and the KDE configuration module to remove unused or badly-written code. Certain parameters were removed during this, IIRC.

      Hi,

      it's solved now after installing kde-config-touchpad.

      When i opened the post installing kde-config-touchpad was confliting with xserver-xorg-input-synaptics.

      Regards and thanks.

        That's interesting. These two packages shouldn't conflict.

        Furthermore, are you saying that Emulate3Buttons is now present? It isn't here:
        Code:
        steve@t520:~$ [B]synclient -l | grep Emulate[/B]
            EmulateMidButtonTime    = 75
            EmulateTwoFingerMinZ    = 282
            EmulateTwoFingerMinW    = 7
        Hm!

            Hi
            There was a incorrect merge in Trusty which caused this, it should be fixed now, however please switch to kde-touchpad since that is the default touchpad management app now.
