Task Manager sorting not working

If one right-clicks the "Application Launcher Menu" (aka the blue K, ), then click "Switch to Classic Menu Style", when you click "Application Launcher Menu Settings" you get the screen that mlippert shows.

Indeed I am using the classic menu, thanks for pointing that out because I didn't know why my menu looked different. And I am also running Mint 16 KDE although I couldn't say what the Mint maintainers might have tweaked.

SteveRiley, I listed the options in the format dropdown in my post above. I couldn't get it to stay open so I could take a screenshot of it or I would have done that.

Ah. I've never used Kickoff in "Classic Menu Style."
