HP Officejets do not follow that pricing model; the printer's not cheap and the ink reasonable, if not cheap.

Yes, many of the Officejets take ink cartridges that actually have a lot of ink. I still prefer laser because there's no way their ink can dry up since they use toner, not ink, that is dry anyway.
