root - Dolphin opened! What's causing the other errors?

Those are not errors, just informational "garbage" , if you will.

      Thanks!
      Have a couple more question?
      Computer System in use:
Mother Board AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 645 Processor 800.000 Mhz, Memory: 7985 MiB
      Ubuntu 13.10 (saucy) : 3.11.0-17-generic (#31-Ubuntu SMP Mon Feb 3 21:52:43 UTC 2014)
      Linux 4.8 (x86_64-linux-gnu)
      1.14.5 (17 December 2013 10:06:15AM)

Question 1: Do I need to manually update the motherboard system, or will it be done through Muon?

Question 2: Is there a specific type of Wifi card required for kubuntu?

Not sure what you're asking. Hardware support is handled by the kernel and modules. There are no "motherboard drivers."

In my experience, Intel wireless is pretty reliable.
