I have internet access obviously, but the network icon in the taskbar has a red circle with slash. How to fix this issue? When I check Notifications, it says "Device failed to activate". Do I need to load special firmware for my onboard NIC on Asus Sabertooth 990fx?

This happened to me right after upgrading to 13.10. Must be a bug. I have no need for the network icon, so I just deleted it from the system tray. If you have Internet, do you need the network icon? -
