    Update nvidia driver

Hi, this is my first post.
How is the best/corect way to install and update nvidia driver?
The first time i install like this:
    1- add /ubuntu-x-swat/x-updates/ubuntu
    2-in terminal sudo apt-get update
    3- install from additional drivers
    Now i have nvidia 331.20
But i want to update to 331.38 because i have some freeze on Anomaly 2 on steam.

video card is gtx 260 SOC gigabyte.

    Thank you.

All your settings are stored in your home folder, and i think one of those settings is preventing you from logging in properly... which is why you can log in OK as a guest but not as your user.

Since i don't know which config file is causing you problems, i can't tell you to just delete that one...so I'd suggest you back up any files you need and do a complete reinstall (including your home), new config files will be created, and you should be OK.
