looks like Suacy Salamander is an official release now

My Kubuntu 13.04 just tried to get me to upgrade. I canceled it because I didn't want to tie up my computer right now, plus I'm really happy with Raring Ringtail. I'm curious if others have done the upgrade yet and what your impressions are.
Kubuntu 22.04 (desktop & laptop), Windows 7 &2K (via VirtualBox on desktop PC)

I would try it out, but the download page still points to 13.04.

I haven't had an upgrade prompt yet, but I was planning on installing it on another partition anyway so I always have 2 working distributions (this is why I'm after a CD for installation).

      Here's the link I would use if I didn't have 13.10 already.

there is a thread elsewhere in the saucy sub forum and the comments about the upgrade have generally been favourable.

              Looks good, I like it!

Muon Discover is pretty cool too, although it's a bit slow.

Strange, I don't find these Muon offshoots in my (Classic) K-menu.

                Anyway, all copied from MS.

One of the best features of Muon Discover is the ability to search for and add plasmoids due to the addition of a dedicated 'Plasmoids' category. Truly cool! And I don't think many know about it.

Thanks for that, I didn't know!

I think it's slow at the moment because of whichever server is at the other end, my internet connection is very fast but it takes ages to load images etc.

You also get a notification each time you view a program as it downloads info to a temp file, which isn't ideal.
