    Bug reporting for Kubuntu

Hi, I recently ran into the bug of kde-workspace-randr not being installed, hence the Size & Orientation panel were missing. This meant that I could not mirror displays.

This is a Kubuntu-specific problem, and I'd like to report a bug saying that this package should have been installed by default. I read the bug-reporting guide, but when I selected Help > Report Bug… in System Settings, I was taken to the KDE bug page, not the Ubuntu page, which the instructions suggested should have happened.

What is the current recommended way to report bugs? Since this problem is Ubuntu-specific, I would have though I would have logged it at Ubuntu. Should I also log a bug saying that logging a bug is buggy?

The Kubuntu developers decided to replace the KRandr with the Kscreen (Kubuntu desktop): https://wiki.kubuntu.org/RaringRingtail/Final2/Kubuntu

If you think that the Kubuntu desktop should use the kde-workspace-randr as default:

    https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Bugs/Reporting:
When not to file a bug

    - Feature and policy discussions (including suggestions to change defaults) should be discussed on the kubuntu-devel mailing list.

Also the bug reporting guide has- https://wiki.kubuntu.org/Kubuntu/Bugs/Reporting:
    Filing bugs at Launchpad.net

If for some reason you cannot file a bug through the Apport tool you can file one via Launchpad. When doing so please ensure that you have determined which package it should be filed against. Read 'finding the right package' for guidance or use Launchpad's package search feature. To file a bug against a specific package use a url similar to the following, http://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+so...ug?no-redirect, where PACKAGENAME is the name of the source package about which you want to file the bug. In the event that you want to request a piece of software be packaged for Kubuntu please follow the instructions in the wiki. To report a bug when you don't know the package name https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug/?no-redirect

Thnaks. I definitely prefer kscreen in most parts, but in inability to mirror/clone screen is a major drawback for me.

      Cheers.
