Buttons on top of each other in panel

    Hi,

I'm running Kubuntu 13.04 and have even though this is the 2nd or maybe even 3rd version of Kubuntu I use, I still see sometimes that buttons on the panel are placed on top of each other. Most of the time it is okay, it is just rarely that this occurs.
In the attached picture you see Chrome and Thunderbird on top of each other.

    What to do about it?

IIRC that was a bug in some previous version of the panel, since fixed. Maybe you have some configuration persisting from the bug. Does anyone know which config might be the culprit? Maybe if you remove the panel and recreate a default one (click the cashew) you'll leave the crud behind.

since i have only ever seen this from people using the older "task manager" widget makes me think that the bug is in that widget. try using "icon-only task manager" and see if you still have the issue.

But that does not solve the issue! I'm facing this too since, at least, Kubuntu 11.10... Sigh...

It's probably this bug: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224447 According to this https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=224447#c141 comment it should be fixed in KDE 4.11
