Kmix freezes, no /.kde4/share/apps/kmix to delete [nor one beginning with /.kde].

Hi guys.

So, I am having this problem and I found a common solution throughout the Internet: "quit kmix then remove the /.kde4/share/apps/kmix (or /.kde/share/apps/kmix) folder":

And other similar examples of the same solution to my problem.

The problem is, there's no .kde4 icon in my home folder (I enabled "show hidden files"), and there's no kmix folder in my /.kde/share/apps/. The closest thing I had to this folder was /usr/share/kde4/apps/kmix which I removed after I quited kmix and then opened kmix again, but the problem persisted. I then removed kmix using muon, rebooted, installed it again, rebooted, and the problem continues to happen, so I don't know what else to do :/

Also, the /.kde4/share/apps/kmix or /.kde/share/apps/kmix folders didn't appear after the kmix reinstalation.

Anybody knows any other solution to this problem?

Glad you got it solved. I also just made the switch to veromix. Just a friendly FYI. You can use "locate" in situations like this to search for files/keywords. Open a terminal and run

locate kmix

and it will show every instance of kmix or file having to to with that keyword in your filesystem. For some reason I can't disable kmix. I can hide the systray icon, but it still starts at every boot.
