    Hi Vinny,

Glad to hear that everything went well. I upgraded here from 12.10 to 13.04 on my test machine and experienced no issues (just luck I guess..) I haven't upgraded my servers yet or my main desktop machine. I'm running email there with kmail using nepomuk, virtuoso, and akonidai to do the heavy lifting. I have seen a few scattered reports of issues with the akonidai database system eating lots of cpu cycles in 13.04, so I'm holding back on upgrading there for the moment to see what shakes out.

    cheers,

not much to say yet ,,,,,,,,installed VLC, ffmpeg, firefox ,,,,first time I have seen clicking the "firefox installer" in kickoff>applications>Internet open the muon software center to firefox , nice so I let it , and it worked , go figure .

I did have a "Nice" moment when I pluged in the HDMI cable from the TV , usually in 12.04 and 12.10 this opens a dialog asking if you want to open a configuration tool ,,,,,this time (hear in 13.04) it just set it up ,,,,,,I mean I pluged in the cable > the screen flickered > and it was setup perfect ,,,,correct resolution right of laptop instead of clone ,,, perfect
now the new display configuration module in system settings is a bit hard to grasp at first but it works @hear ,,,,,I was a bit miffed at first not seeing how to select secondary screen position ,,,,,untill I realized you just grab the screen picture and drag it where you want ......he he neat .

well back with more as it happens .........so far so good.
