printer on lan problem

i entered printer info correctly, or same as before but when i print, it says rendering completed. But nothing prints...

I have kubuntu 13.04 dualbooting with winxp. this is connected to my wired lan.

In systems settings: printers, connection is configured:

smb://secondary/HP%20Photosmart%20C5100%20series
driver: HP Photosmart C5100 series, hpcups 3.13.3

this is same setup that worked in ubuntu and kubuntu older versions, but won't work here.
all i get is rendering completed. nothing else.

when i boot up into winxp...it prints fine with no problems.

Is this printer connected to your computer, or is it set up as a network printer, or is it connected to another computer?

I used hplp driver downloaded from http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web...ard/index.html ( I have HP8600) which set my
printer up for Ubuntu/Kubuntu. HP5100 is not available you could try c5140. My printer settings aro HP://net/Office_Pro_8600?zc=
HP28924ab63a4c.

thanks all for the info. I got it working now. I just uninstalled the printer, rebooted , re-entered the info the
same way again and now it works. Go figure! lol.
