    No Touchpad found

I have a desktop computer with no touchpad. Up until recently everything was working properly, but now when I boot up and login a message box is thrown up saying that no touchpad is found.

This doesn't really matter as I have no touchpad but it is a bit irritating having to close this message box everytime.

Does anyone know how to stop this happening please?

Please open a console window and show us the output of
    Code:
    dpkg -l | grep synap
    and
    Code:
    sudo updatedb
    locate *utostart*synap*

      Steve

This is a perfect example of sod's law. Having had this annoying behaviour for a couple of weeks, no sooner did I post my problem than it stopped happening, as suddenly as it started.

However, many thanks for your response.
