    kde-config-touchpad not starting

I have Kubuntu 12.10 and kde 4.10 installed on a friends vario laptop.

All I want to do is disable while typing. This should be easy.

    kde-config-touchpad vers 0.8.1-1ubuntu2 just won't start.
It is in the systray but right or left clicking show now action.

    Running in konsole shows:
    fintan@fintanws2:~$ synaptiks
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
QDBusConnection: session D-Bus connection created before QCoreApplication. Application may misbehave.
    fintan@fintanws2:~$

    Any help greatly appreciated

You need to downsload the synaptics touchpad program. From there you can do that.

Did you get this to work? I'm using 13.04 so that could be my problem...but I've changed settings in the synaptiks touchpad management but they don't take affect?
