I am running 12.10 all up-to-date. It has KDE 4.10 installed. I am using a package that needs QT5 for it's latest version. Can I just install the QT5 for 64bit, from the QT download site, along with the QT4 that is already installed or do I need to wait for KDE5 under Kubuntu? TIA

KDE does not relate to QT version e.g. most distros ship Qt 4.8.x but run KDE 4.10 or 4.9.x. So do not stress about that. Qt5 is 90% backward compatible with Qt4 so that's good for our migration to KDE Frameworks 5. Anyways, you can install Qt5. I'm sure it should be fine unless it is packaged oddly.Originally posted by Calgarian View PostI am running 12.10 all up-to-date. It has KDE 4.10 installed.
