Calibrating my screen

When I look in the NVIDIA Server Settings I can find such adjustments and they work.
The label is DFP-0, then the Color Correction tab, strange enough under GPU 0 which is the Intel Quadro 1000M video card that's right now not in use.

But when I boot into the Intel card I can't start up Nvidia settings...

Well, my laptop has an Intel GPU... And gamma is really not what I need, that's a totally different adjustment.

I can't find that at all. Kwin has built in screen calibration since 4.9 I think. Settings > Display and Monitors has it. Look at my pic:

Indeed, this is the Gamma settings I was referring to.

And yes, it includes separate settings for the RGB colours.

Hm. I'll have to try and see if that fits my needs. Still, it's vastly inferior to calibration in Windows 7, even if it resets itself after resuming from hibernation (in Windows, that is).

But wait. What if the whole Gamma pane isn't there? I'm not actually seeing the Gamma button under Screen Saver. Do I have to install something to get the Gamma pane?

I wonder if this is dependent on video driver support? I am on an intel gpu, and do not have this either.

For that matter, I have never ever in my 13 years running Linux have never actually adjusted my screen, and have only ever noticed controls for such in the Nvidia settings program. Still learn new things all the time

Same here on my two laptops; the calibrate button is grayed out, and both my laptops have intel GPUs.

That part is because that is for attaching a calibrating device. I do not have the settings option as shown in dmeyer's pic, in the screensaver section
