Kubuntu Upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 stuck at Dropbox installation

Hi Guys,

I just wanted to share a link to a problem I encountered (and the solution) while upgrading my Kubuntu from 12.04 to 12.10 yesterday evening.

I did a distribution upgrade using Muon Software Centre. All was well until in the Installation process stalled with Dropbox stuck at 98%.

Around that date I saw a dropbox pop-up suggesting the need for an upgrade, apparently I was one of the lucky that it worked at first attempt.

One remark about top, in a KDE desktop you only need to simultaneously press Ctrl+Esc and you get a nice GUI to sort such problems.
