    Grub error message when booting

    Sparse file not allowed.

I press enter and it boots normally. What is this about? I just did a reinstall because of to many broken packages as recommended by Steve Riley.
Just to remind users and devs that Ubuntu and its flavors have a long way to go to be as usr friendly as they should be.

The work arround in the bug report seems to be working. Some times when I boot the computer, I get device not found and it just hangs there until I manually reboot. I suspect its because the USB controller is to slow to start, so it can't see the drive! Is there a way to get grub to delay until the USB starts working?
