    Verify Proxy

    Hi,

I added a proxy in KTorrent and would like to confirm that it's actually working. How can I confirm that my real IP is hidden from the tracker?

    Thanks,
    Ron

      Turns out it doesn't work.
I set it up under settings -> configure KTorrent -> Proxy -> uncked to use KDE proxy settings and set proxy IP to 199.119.76.111port 8080, checked both, "use proxy for webseed connections" and "use proxy for tracker connections" and that's it, any clues why it doesn'y work?

      Thank you for assistance!

I have no idea, I'm sorry. I've only ever opened ktorrent by accident.

        Deluge is rather good, though.

There are four proxy settings in Deluge: Peer, Web Seed, Tracker and DHT.

You set up each one with your proxy type (ie socks v5 w/auth or whatever your proxy is) and fill in the username/password/address/port fields.

Once you've done that, exit deluge, make sure the server process has stopped, and restart it all. Try the IP checker again and look at your logs.
