    Built-in webcam not working

UPDATE 26/3/13: it seems that an update has resolved this problem for me

I have a HP pavilion dm1 notebook with Kubuntu 12.10. She runs absolutely beautiful without too many issues.
Something that I cannot get sorted is the built-in webcam - HP TrueVision HD. I'm sure I have the drivers installed and at one stage it did work with Cheese, just never with Skype.
No it seems, the webcam doesn't work at all.
For the past few days I've been Googling and trying just about every solution but nothing works. Not even the LD=Preload etc command.
Skype does work with my usb Logitech webcam and I don't mind using it, it' just a pain in the you know what when I don't have the usb cam handy while answering a skype call.
Here's the output of lsusb (as far as I can figure out, my webcam is Bus 001):
    nakimum@nakimum-HP-Pavilion-dm1-Notebook-PC:~$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 030: ID 064e:d217 Suyin Corp.

it is 001 , the Suyin one , and any thing using it should be capturing from /dev/video0 using libv4l-0 ,,,,,check that it is installed .

I think cheese has in it settings a place to set the device to use see that it is /dev/video0 skype as well

      Hi Vinnny
sorry for the late reply, been a bit hectic here. Anyway, checked that libv4l-0 is installed, rebooted (just to be sure) and everytime I opt for using the webcam I get nothing.
Will try and sort it as far as possible, but it's not really priority, have a Logitech usb webcam that I'll just hook up when needed
