    cant net upgrade .

looks like my usual procedure for upgrading to the next release dose not want to work !!

I would surmise that it is because of http://ppa.launchpad.net/oibaf/graphics-drivers/ubuntu/ and my non standard kernel ?

    this was the error

    Calculating the changes

    Could not calculate the upgrade

An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade:
E:Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

    This can be caused by:
    * Upgrading to a pre-release version of Ubuntu
    * Running the current pre-release version of Ubuntu
    * Unofficial software packages not provided by Ubuntu

If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the
    command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal.

Probably the graphics drivers, for there are no Quantal packages in Oibaf's PPA.

I think that "held broken packages" thing is just some kind of default "I don't know what to do" error message.
