Im pretty sure it used to be at /etc/X11/xorg.conf but it is now gone. My system now thinks I have 6 screens....

there hasn't been a xorg.conf file for many many years....
One can create one and it will be used if present.

Yeah. I think I figured out whats going on though. In the last update, my nvidia driver was updated and that seemed to break just about everything involving screens and monitors. The old nvidia drivers didnt work well with randr and so I resorted to the xorg.conf file to fix screen issues. Randr seems like its functioning now...Ill play around some more after work.
