You can try a quick test - try with a new/clean profile to see does the issue persist

Torrent files are recognized properly for me as well.

Whatever server I use, the issue is the same, for FF it's a svg file, not a torrent, but after all it is not very important while it displays the file extension.

This could be entirely a issue with the mimetype reporting from the server. On precise, with this : http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/re...ac.iso.torrent : link, I get this : http://i.imgur.com/4n6DT.png

kmozillahelper is a transitional package for firefox-kde-support.

I didn't have kmozillahelper installed, only firefox-kde-support. Anyway, I just installed kmozillahelper (I don't know if it's necessary) but nothing changed
    I'm using Precise.

I'm running on quantal. Actually, firefox is still recognising .torrent file as SVG file but it opens Ktorrent as default app so it is no more a problem. http://ubuntuone.com/1fcSNKXkXuY9wXfC8xe6Vv

I've uploaded a fixed kmozillahelper to the PPA, should be built soonish. Please upgrade and open issues on github ( https://github.com/blue-shell/firefox-kde/issues ) as required. Oh, and I cannot reproduce the torrent bug on my precise install.

Anybody else having this problem?
I've been testing that saving some images. I save an image, try to "Open containing folder" and Firefox ask me to choose an application but opens dolphin too! I close both Dolphin and the ask window, and next I try to save another image but the save dialog doesn't appear. If I open a link in the webpage, then the save dialog appears, but when I try to save the picture nothing happens... This is very strange. I just tried to report the but it seems that github doesn't work right now...

Yes I have it too... And if you want to download a .torrent file for example, it considers it as a SVG file and refuses to open it with Ktorrent...
