    facial recognition?!?

does anyone have any suggestions on getting some kind of facial recognition to work on kubuntu 12.04? with all the laptops with webcams youd think this would be a semi-popluar feature, if nothing else just for showing off. now ive done my share of google-ing and all i can find is PAM facial recognition, and the posts for that are from around 2010, any help would be appreciated

no new info on this subj, sorry, just I am interested how you can imagine this auth as strong enough to do something? can I use, for example, a photo of my gran-grand-pa as a login face?

Besides PAM there are a couple other available for Linux: Ayofa-SDK version 2.0.8.3 Linux version and FaceSDK.

BUT, they won't go anywhere because the USTPO granted Kodak a facial recognition patent.

and it uses the same techniques as PAM and the other two:
