    rekonq open pdf

whatever settings I use in the System Settings -> File Associations -> pdf (Embedding)
rekonq seems unable to open a pdf in a separate viewer or open a pdf with the okular
plugin. I'm on Kubuntu Precise 64 bit, I have also acroread installed but I have
removed it from the plugins list for pdf. Does anybody else have the same problem?

It opens PDFs fine for me, on Rekonq 0.91 KDE 4.8.3 Kubuntu 12.04.
I haven't changed any settings so this behaviour must be by default.
    Sprry thats not much help!
    Using Kubuntu 17.10 64Bit

thanks, then it may have something to do with my settings

I uninstalled acroread and rekonq now opens pdf fine in okular
I need to find a way to have acroread installed and avoid that rekonq tries to use its pdf plugin to open pdfs...

I reinstalled acroread and removed the files below, rekonq is opening pdf without problems now

      sudo rm /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.nppdf.so
      sudo rm /usr/lib/firefox-addons/plugins/npwrapper.nppdf.so
      sudo rm /opt/Adobe/Reader9/Browser/intellinux/nppdf.so
