I am shocked, my system is not exactly typical but I had absolutely no problem installing (read this... http://www.kubuntuforums.net/showthr...t-to-read-this ) and no problems afterwards, as a matter of fact, I am doing more in Kubuntu 12.04 than any other distro I have used ever.

Sometimes an all night memory test (as in let it run constantly all night and check the results in the morning) uncovers some problems, especially if you are a timings tweaker like me.

It is just another bug, already reported. I am also affected. It is nothing important and nothing to worry about. Fix will come in updates:

      https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...er/+bug/993672

You can just open Muon update manager and check for updates.

        LOL
I just got this from Muon updater:

This operation cannot continue because proper authorization was not provided.
However, I could update using terminal.

I noticed that yesterday, after updates.
[strike]I haven't tried Muon today, but then there has been no further updates. I used the terminal. No big deal.[/strike]

I just tried it to test and Muon works normally, asking for root access when it should. I have security updates in stealth mode. Probably got one later yesterday or earlier today.
