I can't stream podcasts on a certain site

I have Firefox 36.0.4 on a linux computer and I can't stream podcasts.

Any reason that it wouldn't do it?

None of the podcasts on here will stream

    http://www.podbean.com/all

Nothing happens, there is no signs of it loading.

I have flashblock installed but when I try to stream the podcast the flash block is disabled.FF 36.0.4 on a linux computer and I can't stream podcasts.

I assume other sites work for you

Try firefox safe mode firefox -safe-mode
Try creating a new, default profile for firefox via firefox -profilemanager

If the site works in either of those modes, then it's something to do with your firefox profile, probably add-on settings. If it also fails in those modes, then the site may be using some media format your system isn't set up for.
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.

Tried both ideas and no fix.

Now onto what is strange ---

I booted into XP and tried to play the podcast in question http://robbell.podbean.com/

      It would not play. What??

It will play on my WIN7 box
It will play on the Kubuntu 14.04 LTS / Win 7 dual boot laptop
It will not play on the Kubuntu 12.04 LTS / XP dual boot laptop

I am guessing that it is a flash problem.

        Have you installed kubuntu-restricted-extras?

        (I have forgotten XP )

Hadn't been searching for an answer and started searching this morning.

this morning I came across xubuntu-restricted-extras and read that it installed codecs and other things. Installed it and the podcast worked.

I came to the forum to post something else and decided to read my poscast questions and there was your post....giving me the answer. If only I had looked at the beginning of April.

Now - it is working and I am sitting here thinking - should I remove the xbuntu version and replace it with the kubuntu version? They are probably close to the same thing.
