    Recent update killed nVidia driver

Just did a regular update in 12.04. All went well until I rebooted. nVidia driver is not being used, and it won't install either. Synaptic reports nVidia current 295.40 driver installed. Tried to run the 'Additional Drivers' several times. It reports no nVidia driver enabled. Trying to enable it fails, telling me to look at /var/log/jockey.log, which I have attached. The file is huge, and probably only the last bit is of any importance, but I am attaching the whole thing just in case.

I note that several times it complains that:

    Code:
2013-03-30 16:00:13,668 WARNING: modinfo for module nvidia_current failed: ERROR: modinfo: could not find module nvidia_current
Machine works, but 800 x 600 is the best it will do on this 1920 x 1080 display, which is kind of annoying.

    Suggestions?

    Frank.

OK, when no one seemed to know what to do, I tried to reinstall the various nVidia pieces from Synaptic. Problem now solved.
