Dual boot with windows 8 - Not able to start kubuntu

Hi everyone !

I've got a little issue with the installation of kubuntu in dual boot with windows 8
(i'm french so pardon my english !)

I created a NTFS partition on which I installed kubuntu
- the first time, it didn't work as a "grub" problem happened (fatal error)
- the second time it worked fine, at the end of the installation, Kubuntu asked me to restard my computer, which I did, but since, Impossible to start from Kubuntu...

I only manage to boot from windows, or the cd-rom (if I put 1 in), in the advanced boot options, Kubuntu does not show up, I really don't know what to do...

anybody can help ??

I'm using an ASUS S56C Ultrabook (so a laptop)
Windows 8 64b
Intel Core i7
NVIDIA geforce GT 625m 2gb

this is probably a UEFI box , first check out the threads hear ,,,,, http://www.kubuntuforums.net/forumdi...EFI-assistance

then post your queshtons in that section , (if you do indeed have the UEFI type of BIOS replacement) ,,,,,,,read at least the sticky post at the top of that section , the poster is one of our resident UEFI experts
