Sorry, Question 1 I don't understand at all - Grave Key?

Question 2 is much easier
Right-click somewhere on your desktop
Then select "Desktop Settings"
Next, at "Layout" select "Folder View" - this will make your desktop act like the "classic desktop" with icons the way you want.
