    New motherboard, no sound

I just installed a new motherboard. Kubuntu boots with no problems. But now I have no sound. How do I get it back? Do I have to re-install to get it to pick up the drivers?
This is supposed to be a board that is very Linux friendly. ECS Z77H2-A2X.

What did you do? I had that problem once, and only avoided it with a reinstall.

I fiddled with the settings in KDE multi-media. Mainly I had to change all the settings to "Built in Audio Analog" instead of "GF110 HIght Definition audio controller".
