    Notification Location

This is something that's been ongoing for me since 11.10. I always put the default Panel on the top of my screen, get rid of the tasks widget, replace it with the Activity bar, and create a new panel for the tasks widget. After I do this, for whatever reason, my notifications still appear in a pop-up at the bottom of the screen, instead of the top, where they should be.

I have another machine running KDE 4.8.2 on OpenSUSE, and I don't have this problem, so I figure it's got to be a configuration option somewhere. Does anybody have any ideas?

    Thanks!

I also move the default panel to the top (but I still have the task manager on it). Never had the problem you describe.

You can confirm whether it's a configuration option problem by creating a new user account and seeing if it happens there.
I'd rather be locked out than locked in.
