        Just for my clarification ... is the "Ubuntu" (orange logo) start page what I should expect to see? Or is there a Kubuntu (blue logo) Firefox start page?

        (I don't have a problem with my Firefox appearance - it's moderately KDE - follows the GTK+ Appearance settings.)

          Not that I'm aware of.
          But that would be a good idea. It wouldn't be difficult to host an alternative logo and fly the flag so to speak.
