    Trying to fix hibernate/suspend issue

    I posted this in the 12.04 forum as well but really looking for a response:

    trying to hibernate does not work.

    when using s2disk get an error "unable to allocate memory"

    I have a swap partition more than twice my memory. my swap partion is first partition (now moved to last partition-did not help) on disk, is this a problem? UUID is reported right in /etc/default/grub and /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume. fstab reads:

    # /etc/fstab: static file system information.
    #
    # Use 'blkid' to print the universally unique identifier for a
    # device; this may be used with UUID= as a more robust way to name devices
    # that works even if disks are added and removed. See fstab(5).
    #
    # <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>
    proc /proc proc nodev,noexec,nosuid 0 0
    # / was on /dev/sda1 during installation
    UUID=58ed6f78-b05d-4227-9e83-ac713d061669 / ext4 errors=remount-ro 0 1
    # /home was on /dev/sda5 during installation
    UUID=adc39671-dfd9-4e88-acfc-dc0ef08ad86f /home ext4 defaults 0 2
    # swap was on /dev/sda6 during installation
    UUID=619268a2-7f7f-40b2-8ee1-ec9f493ebbe8 none swap sw 0 0

    A friendly admonition -- Do not post the same issue in multiple boards, as it makes it difficult for other members to follow. You have not told us what version of Kubuntu you are using, but as you first posted in 12.04, I have to assume that is what you are running. Is this correct? If it is, I am going to delete this post. If you are in fact running both versions, then I will leave this post.
