    Problems installing graphics driver

I try to install the hardware driver listed by jockey, its called ATI FGLRX Post release fixes graphics driver, but it fails and tells me to check the log file.

Just an FYI, I seemed to have seen this problem somewhere else (I think on Ubuntuforums.org) where somebody had problems with the "jockey enabled hardware". They seemed to have success with installing from ATI site (they have instructions).

I'd recommend trying to search for ATI FGLRX or something similar on Ubuntuforums (hint: 11.10).

Definitely, too help other people, if you get it resolved, a comment and a link to there would be nice.

I have an ATI card but whatever was there when Kubuntu installed is working for me (fast, open-gl enabled, etc) --> good enough for me now. Although if I found out that it is the open-source driver and that it is not sufficient for whatever reason (probably gaming), then it would be nice to know others attempts at installing alternate drivers.

I have an ATI Radeon 5650
      Is this the right driver?
