I do not use Kmail and I have now found a solution to stop this annoying message. I found it at http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=86252. What I did to stop this message was to
      Code:
      cd /usr/share/akonadi/agents
      sudo nano maildispatcheragent.desktop
      I then changed the line
      Code:
      X-Akonadi-Capabilities=Unique,Autostart
      to
      Code:
      X-Akonadi-Capabilities=Unique,NoConfig
I then installed akonadiconsole and used it to delete Mail Dispatcher Agent.

I hope that the final release does not require the user to go through this procedure.

      EDIT:
As it stands at the moment, my outstanding problems are:
      • krename does not work
      • Kaffeine does not record Digitlal TV unless the channel is displayed
      • When printing from LibreOffice, the HP Printer driver does not provide double side printing even though it is defined in the printer settings of the HP Device Manager
      • avidemux is not available on my 64B system but is available on my 32B system

Re: Kubuntu 11.10 is almost here but.....

The way I fixed the "Mail Dispatcher Agent" problem was to go through the kmail2 upgrade. Unfortunately, I can't find the thread here that says how to do it. The ones I found using google don't work. It involves deleting /usr/share/config/kmail2rc, then running the upgrade program from the konsole without starting kmail first.

Anyway, wherever it is, that method worked, and now the message is gone. Maybe someone more adept at searching can find it.

There willbe a wiki page on this in the release notes, I almost have it finished, it will have some info on some of these issues. I think most of the problems have been fixed, but the automatic migration does not work.

I am still seeing this bug with all task managers: default, smooth tasks, icon tasks.

Something must be wrong with your system then. Are you starting completely fresh - not keeping your previous /home partition?

You might as well go all the way and throttle Akonadi completely, then. Edit ~/.config/akonadi/akonadiserverrc and change one line:

                Code:
                StartServer=false

From my understanding, Akonadi supports Calendar - Kontact functions and I also find it useful for the functions it provides on the clock to show Kontact events. I got these details from http://userbase.kde.org/Akonadi. I therefore wish to keep it running as I rely heavily on Kontact.

Yes. Completely fresh. But it happens very rare now (happened only once till now), and I have fallen in love in Icon Tasks, so I don't care anymore about it Maybe it is hardware specific (I have amd cpu and gpu).

                    p.s. Icon Tasks (I love it!!!) :
