    kernel 3.0.0-12.19 problem [SOLVED}

    Last night I decided it was my time to install the 64 bit Oneric beta-2.
    All went well and the applications I installed worked nicely. 8)
    Then I did a full upgrade.
    But it failed to reboot. >

    I reinstalled and started the upgrade with kernel 3.0.0-12.19 and again I had a non booting system.
    After a third install I upgraded most except this kernel and the result looks OK.

    Has anyone else seen a similar issue?

    HW:
    Toshiba Tecra-S5 with 2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7800 @ 2.60GHz processor and nVidia Quadro NVS 130M graphics.

    no I havent........@hear kernel-3.0.0-12.19 IS installed and running well .

    I have been running 11.10 on this partition for a wile now (dont remember the exact date but theirs a post around hear ware I installed the Dayle build) Kernel started with a 3.0.0.10 ver.

    my guess would be that for some reason the rebuild initrd.img & update-grub post install hook's dident run complete after the upgrade.

    all my updates have run fine so far.

      Thanks for the heads up vinny!

      I tried again and aparently there were new updates available tonight that eventually allowed an install.
      I say eventually bacause it was a very messy affair with several times the need for sudo dpkg --configure -a and sudo apt-get dist-upgrade -f.
      All together it was the most problematic install I've ever had on this 3.5 y/o laptop.

      Anyhow, this partition is for testing and playing and it looks good!
