[SOLVED] Kubuntu desktop effects don't work well after update.

Hi, my desktop effects don't work well after an update. Yesterday I installed kubuntu 11.04 from a USB, and I really loved it. Then I updated my system, and after a reboot, desktop effects didn't work anymore. I checked the settings, changed OpenGL to Xrender, and now a few desktop effects do work, but not all. When I put it back to OpenGL, KDE says that won't work and it changes back to Xrender. My laptop is a HP Pavilion dv7 2120sb with a AMD ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4530. I did install FGLRX (after the problem came) and its working properly.

Remove kwinrc config file in ~/.kde/share/config/ and then press alt+f2 and type

 kwin --replace

This way your window manager (kwin) will be back to its default settings.
