Installed ATI Proprietary Drivers... and I can't login!

    Hello,

it's very simple. I have installed the ATI proprietary drivers, downloaded from the official website.

Now, when I boot my Sony Vaio with ATI HD 6470m, this is what I get:

I can't enter in failsafe mode (the X server shuts down immediately).
I can only enter in text terminal.

    What can I do? :-)
    Thanks.

Ok. I've tried. Now the "ugly screen" has gone and the entire graphic environment as well.
Tried reinstalling the basic default driver but nothing happened. I have to reinstall Kubuntu
