The Asus 1005ha has a number of special function keys to handle things like toggling the touchpad and wifi and adjusting volume and brightness. It also has a hard button for toggling the touchpad on and off. With Ubuntu 11.04 these all work, but not with Kubuntu. Does anyone know the magic required to get this to work in Kubuntu?

Keytouch and keytouch editor might be of help.
But maybe it's beeter to check this out first:

Another approach could be to install kde-config-synaptiks, it might have some switches to enable what you want.
