    no wifi after upgrade to 11.04

    hello again. i recently upgraded my desktop to kubuntu 11.04 and now i have no wireless. the wireless card is a Realtek Rtl 8185. the driver being loaded is rtl8180. using the command sudo iwlist scan , the wireless card "sees" my home network, but i dont see a wat to connect to it?

    Do you have the kde network manager installed?

    If you boot off the 11.04 install CD does it see your wireless then?

      i know that the kde manger is installed, i'll try to boot of a live disc and see if that works. i dont understand this problem? this was an upgrade from the previous version,and it worked just fine for months until the update?
