usb mouse problem

    usb mouse problem

    i just installed kubuntu 11.04 and my mouse moves really slow, having something like a delay but my pad from laptop works great. i tried all my usb ports and a different mouse and it's the same. i have a dell inspiron m5030 amd processor.

    Check the mouse settings: System Settings > Input Devices > Mouse > Advanced and look at the value in Pointer accelleration. Mine is set to 2.0 x

        Same problem here (Laptop HP 625), but it occurred for the first time some days ago, maybe one of those automated updates wasn't that good. I did this:
        Synaptic Package Manager: Loading "kde-config-qt-graphicssystem", only 86 kB
        System Settings: Qt Graphics System (new) set to "Raster"
        reboot
        Works a bit better for me now, it occurs again when the CPU usage is getting high. So it's not a perfect solution, but worth a try.
