Today's (24 Feb) update seems to have killed networking. When kde starts, the network management program that usually sits in the system tray (it's whatever kde installs, not some extra thing) is now in the dropdown, and will not come up when clicked. When I restart the computer, and boot into recovery mode, and choose the "root shell with networking" option, I get the following error message:
/usr/share/recovery-mode/options/netroot: 10: dhclient: not found
Didn't notice anything being removed, other than some compiz and unity stuff.
I can chroot into the system from other systems to do installs, etc.
This is NOT a wireless connection, but wired into a router. I didn't notice anything specifically related to networking in the update, but it must have been there. I also notice that the gnome desktop is completely borked, but that is a relatively minor issue compared to networking.
