Been looking all over the place for answers on this and keep drawing a blank. Is it not possible to upgrade KDE to 4.6 in Kubuntu 10.10? I haven't tried running a dist-upgrade because i don't want to risk going to Natty, it's not a big deal but i am curious as to weither or not this is possible. Thank you in advance.

no, the packagers only iirc packaged up 4.5 for 10.10. with newer versions of Qt and other libraires, there is the possibility of breakages, though small.
It mostly boils down to the work needed and the manpower to get it done. Usually, a version of Kubuntu gets the next major version in one of the PPA's or into Ubuntu's official backports repo. -
