    Re: "checksums do not match"

    Dibl, Thanks!
It was even easier than you described, because once found Konqueror turned out to be an option, like Dolphin and Gwenview. Just change the bullet and presto.
I haven't had time yet to try the Firefox apt-get trick, but will open another thread in 10.04 when I need help.
    Thanks very much!

      Re: "checksums do not match"

EDIT: I was copying the wrong image name and MD5 sum so my ISO download MD5 sum does match afterall, but I am still getting an individual file checksum mismatch when copying files.

I am using the following ISO downloaded from the torrent: a84d9da479e7aca2284ad3164443e9d2 *kubuntu-10.10-dvd-i386.iso

The USB creator gets at least several % in to copying files and then pops up an "Installation failed" dialog box saying "md5 checksums do not match."

I am guessing the md5sum its checking is in the text file in the ISO "md5sum.txt".
Unfortunately it is not reporting the exact file and I am using windows machines so I am uncertain of an application to help track down the file easily. Any ideas?
