    Installing without internet connection

Downloaded the 64-bit 10.10 CD and transferred the iso to another PC. Trying to install it there in a Virtualbox. Installation seems to go fine for awhile, then starts 'retrieving' files and 'downloading language packs' and that's not going well at all. It's been running for a couple of hours now. Currently it says 2303:27 remaining... 31%. My 'net connection is very flaky today, so that's probably the problem, but I just wanted to install from the CD, not to download anything additional.

I made sure to uncheck the 'use third party software' and 'run updates after installing' checkboxes, but that wasn't enough. Is there any way to install without a good internet connection - a hidden 'don't download anything' option?

Just be disconnected while you install. It won't try to download anything if there is no connection.

Thanks! Disabled the network adapter and tried again - worked perfectly.
